IsoArcH is global!

Once rooted in the marble halls of Greco-Roman scholarship, IsoArcH has outgrown its toga and sandals. We have left the ancient agora for a global stage, gathering isotope data from every corner of the planet – past, present, and everything in between.

Community-driven, standards-focused, and free

Our database is free-to-use and shaped by contributions from scientists around the world, making isotopic data more accessible, comparable, and impactful for everyone.

Non-profit organization

The project is backed by a community of academic and non-academic people associated into a non-profit organisation to preserve and developp the project. Institutional members are also welcome.

Standardization, the backbone of reliable data

Science relies on trust. And trust begins with data that you can count on. At IsoArcH, we check every dataset before it goes online. Structure, format, internal logic, nothing is left to chance. If it is hosted here, it has been reviewed. That is what makes us different. Standardization is not a feature; it is the foundation. We do the hard work up front so that you can use the data with confidence. This commitment comes at a cost for IsoArcH and we need you to support it.

Driving an open data culture

We believe that open, curated data leads to science that is more collaborative, transparent, and forward-thinking. This is not just about access. It is about building a community. By following the FAIR and CARE principles, we ensure that data remains reusable, traceable, and respectful of its origins.
